2021 MOSHAPE Convention

FlipGrid is a free online video platform that can be used to engage students in class, and for virtual learning. This session will provide examples of how FlipGrid videos can be used to teach skill, assess student understanding of skills, and develop student social responsibility.

Are you new to teaching or would like to up your game? Come learn about how to use the Missouri State Standards to design your instruction. If you follow this process you will see increased engagement in your classes and students more concerned about learning rather than collecting points. Nothing done right is easy so be ready to be challenged in your teaching ideologies.

Balance and postural stability control in the young student can lead to a better physical performance. This increased body control can lead to a decrease in injury risk. The ability to maintain balance and make quick weight shift adjustments may be a related factor to increased performance and decreased injury risk. Being able to have balance and postural control begins at a young age on a regular basis in physical education.
